As Director for Environmental Management & Assessments, Ali is responsible for the delivery of Environmental and Social Impact Assessments at The Red Sea Project. The Red Sea Project is a unique initiative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as part of its Vision 2030 to diversify its economic growth through tourism development and investing in non-petroleum based sectors.
In his role at The Red Sea Development company, Ali interfaces with a range of stakeholders on design, construction and operational stages of projects to identify the environmental risks and avoid or minimize them through early intervention via design. Prior to his current position, Ali has worked extensively in consulting on projects covering public sector advisory, oil & gas, infrastructure and land development sectors.
Ali has 24 years of international experience in environmental management and possesses an MSc in Environmental Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
