Shaun Pearce


Shaun Pearce is an environmental and sustainability consultant with over 18 years of diverse experience across heavy industry, utilities and the built environment. At KEO he provides oversight of environmental consultancy and strategy services across government, financial institutions, developers, masterplanners and energy companies. He has been involved in sustainable development initiatives across the Middle East and Africa.

Following several years in the water and wastewater, and recycling industries, he has provided consultancy and advisory services for the development of projects within the industrial, commercial,  hospitality, leisure, master planning, mixed-use developments, renewable energy, residential, and sports sectors in MENA and Africa.

Shaun has been advising in the Middle East since 2012 providing environmental leadership and support at national, regional, city-wide and project scales for a variety of proponents. Key aspects revolve around planning, permitting, biodiversity protection and enhancement, best available techniques assessment, emissions reduction and long-term spatial planning.

More recently Shaun has been involved in multidisciplinary collaboration combining the core principles of sustainable development into the built environment and industry, through the development of environmental strategy, policy, and strategic environmental assessment while having ongoing exposure to ESG in the region.

Shaun’s portfolio of advisory includes some of the largest developments to date as well lender environmental and social compliance which include climate change risk assessment. Shaun is a chartered environmentalist (CEnv) in sustainable development and holds memberships with the Institution of Environmental Sciences and Institute of Air Quality Management.
