Deyaar Development has unveiled the final phase of Park Five in Dubai Production City with the launch of Ivy and Alder. Benghazi has launched the Global Platform for Competitive Urban Planning, an initiative spearheaded by the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund. The King Abdullah Financial District Development and Management Company (KAFD DMC) and Samsung Electronics have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore collaborative opportunities in developing and implementing integrated smart city technologies within KAFD. The move is said to solidify KAFD as a platform for collaboration and innovation between Saudi Arabia and Asia.

The MoU reflects KAFD’s commitment to strategically investing in and adopting technologies to transform urban infrastructure and living through digital enablement. As a global technology leader, Samsung’s track record of product development aligns with KAFD’s vision of leveraging smart city technologies to make urban districts more efficient, sustainable, and human-centric, in line with Vision 2030, said a statement.

DAMAC Properties has announced that it has topped out its US $272mn Cavalli Tower project, noting that the achievement is a key construction milestone. The ultra-luxury residential development is said to be the world’s first tower with interiors designed by Roberto Cavalli.

The topping-out ceremony, attended by project stakeholders from DAMAC and lead contractors CSCEC ME, marked the completion of the tower’s superstructure with the final pour of concrete on the 71st floor slab. Substructure works are now complete, with internal and external finishes now progressing toward completion. The developer stated that Cavalli Tower is now on track for handover by the end of next year.

“Cavalli Tower is a structural and design landmark that embodies DAMAC’s futuristic vision to blend fashion, architecture and art into Dubai’s skyline. With this topping out, we are one step closer to delivering a true global landmark in luxury living,” said Ali Sajwani, Managing Director, DAMAC Group at the topping out ceremony.

Rising 71 storeys beside the beach in Dubai Marina, Cavalli Tower is a symbol of architectural ambition and branded elegance, featuring 436 units conceived by architect Shaun Killa, who also designed Dubai’s Museum of the Future, and bespoke interiors curated by Roberto Cavalli Home Interiors, said a statement from the developer.

The tower will offer one-to-five bedroom apartments, duplexes and five bedroom penthouses, with guaranteed vistas of the sea, Palm Jumeirah or Dubai Marina. Select units boast private terraces, pools or Jacuzzis and hydroponic living walls. The tower will feature private sky pools, sky gardens, and an infinity pool overlooking the Arabian Gulf. MSA Safety’s newest detection solution, the ALTAIR io 6 Multigas Detector, will make its European debut at the 2025 A+A International Trade Fair & Congress (A+A) in Düsseldorf, Germany, the company said. The solution is set to become the latest addition to the MSA Connected Work Platform.

The firm said the six-gas detector is specifically designed for confined space monitoring and sampling applications. It is MSA’s first cellular-connected gas detector featuring an integrated pump, and incorporates MSA’s XCell sensors, boasts a large, highly visible screen, a removable, rechargeable external battery, and is compact enough for handheld use or wearable devices.

The ALTAIR io 6 Multigas Detector will join the ALTAIR io 4 Gas Detection Wearable on the MSA Connected Work Platform. While the ALTAIR io 4 is primarily used as a personal, continuous monitoring device, the ALTAIR io 6 is tailored for sampling spaces on job sites or before confined space entry. Both devices are widely used across various markets, including construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, and utilities. Both detectors share similar technologies, featuring a user-friendly interface and utilising MSA Grid software. This integration allows safety managers to easily connect and manage both devices within their fleet of gas monitors. The ALTAIR io 6 will be available for order in early 2026.
