Meraas has unveiled a new phase of City Walk Crestlane. The new phase is said to underscore investor response to City Walk Crestlane and solidifies Meraas’ position as a developer for urban living in Dubai through designed, lifestyle-focused communities.

The new phase of City Walk Crestlane comprises two residential towers, each offering a total of 198 units. It presents an approach to modern living with views of the Dubai skyline. The development features a collection of contemporary one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, four-bedroom duplexes with private terraces, and five-bedroom penthouses boasting double-height living spaces. Each residence is designed to provide a sanctuary, surrounded by lush greenery and water features.

As the inaugural waterside community in City Walk, the two new residential towers will boast a double-height reception and lounge area, a cinema room, and a dedicated indoor kids’ club. Residents will also enjoy exclusive access to a range of outdoor community facilities, resort-style pools, a park, outdoor gyms and kids play areas, a pet park, yoga lawns, an outdoor cinema, and running and cycling tracks. All these amenities will be integrated into an expansive, beautifully landscaped setting, said a statement.

The City Walk Crestlane masterplan features a blend of mid-rise and high-rise buildings, comprising 22 residential buildings that house 2,625 residential units spread across 365,676sqm. Additionally, it incorporates designated areas for retail, recreation, and open spaces, providing contemporary luxury living in the heart of the city. Community indoor amenities at this waterfront residential development include a state-of-the-art fitness studio, a games room, and co-working spaces, the statement explained.

City Walk Crestlane’s architecture is said to prioritise human-centric design that integrates into the existing City Walk streetscape to infuse it with a metropolitan ambiance. The layout aims to harmonise indoor elegance with outdoor vitality, elevating the overall community experience.

Strategically located within City Walk, near Downtown Dubai, DIFC, Dubai Airport, and Jumeirah Beach, City Walk Crestlane offers residents convenient access to iconic landmarks and major destinations. Key highways and road networks, such as Al Safa, Al Wasl, Al Enjaz, and Al Multaqa streets, facilitate easy travel access, the statement concluded.

CMME-Award-2025-1.jpg

June 26, 2025 foasummit0

The construction equipment industry’s leading lights gathered at the Ritz-Carlton JBR last night for the fourth annual Construction Machinery Middle East Awards, as the sector’s top innovators, rental partners, and manufacturers were honoured for their achievements over the past 12 months.

Hosted by CMME magazine and CPI Trade Media, the sold-out gala brought together more than 200 senior professionals from across the region’s construction, infrastructure, and heavy machinery sectors. With over 140 nominations submitted across more than 30 categories, the 2025 edition marked the biggest and most competitive CMME Awards yet.

Speaking during the opening address, Stephen White, Head of Content at Construction Machinery ME, said the awards served as a critical platform for recognising the region’s ongoing transformation.

“This industry continues to prove it’s not just keeping pace — it’s setting the pace. Behind every innovation and successful project are the people, teams, and companies driving real progress in how the Middle East builds. Tonight is about them.”

Highlights from the evening included multiple wins for established industry names JLG Industries, Johnson Arabia, and Al Marwan Machinery, with joint awards issued in several categories to reflect the depth of competition.

And there was also success for newer innovators in the market such as Sinoboom, winner of the Newcomer of the Year award, and SpiderPlus which was recognised for its technological prowess.

In the Rental categories, Dayim Equipment Rental was named Access Rental Company of the Year, while Al Marwan Machinery took home the Heavy and Medium Rental Company of the Year award. Johnson Arabia, meanwhile, earned two major honours — Lifting Champion of the Year and Safety Champion of the Year — for its standout performance in high-stakes lift planning and safety culture.

Innovation was front and centre, with Dingli receiving the Manufacturer Innovation of the Year award for its AWP Innovation Programme, and Al Marwan Machinery and MYCRANE jointly recognised for Local Innovation of the Year. Judges praised the former’s amphibious excavators, engineered in the UAE, and the latter’s digital crane rental platform — both described as “regionally rooted and globally relevant.”

In the machinery categories, Volvo’s A40 Articulated Hauler and DEVELON’s DX1000LC-7 Crawler Excavator shared Earth Moving Machinery of the Year, while Komatsu’s D155-6R Bulldozer won Bulldozer of the Year. The title of Outstanding Manufacturer of the Year went to Bobcat, recognised for its commitment to electrification, local adaptation, and aftermarket support.

The evening also saw a growing emphasis on sustainability and electric equipment. Dingli’s BA44ERT won Electric Access Machine of the Year as the tallest electric articulated boom lift in the world, while the Electric Machinery of the Year award was jointly given to Hangcha’s 48T Lithium Battery Forklift and SpiderPlus’ Multi-Loader platforms.

One of the most anticipated moments of the night was the announcement of the Special Contribution Award, which went to Al Shirawi Enterprises Group. The company was commended for its successful internal paperless transformation strategy, which has reduced its carbon footprint while boosting efficiency and employee engagement.

Other winners included:

  • Putzmeister’s BSF 42 HLS for Concrete Pump of the Year

  • Liebherr’s HTM 1304 Mixer for Concrete Mixer of the Year

  • Tadano’s GR-1000EX-4 for Rough Terrain Crane of the Year

  • Toyota’s BT Vector 1.5t for Material Handling Machine of the Year – Logistics

  • Manitou’s MX50-4 for Material Handling Machine of the Year – Construction/Heavy

As the region enters a new phase of megaprojects, sustainability initiatives, and digital transformation, the CMME Awards have solidified their role as a touchstone for excellence and forward-thinking leadership in the heavy machinery and equipment ecosystem.

Saudi Global Ports Group (SGP) has announced that its subsidiary – Modern Port Services Company (MPS) – has been awarded four 20-year concession agreements by the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) to operate multipurpose terminals along Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Coast. The terminals will be located at King Abdulaziz Port Dammam (KAPD), Jubail Commercial Port (JCP), King Fahad Industrial Port Jubail (KFIP), and Ras Al Khair Port (RAK).

SGP currently operates container terminals at KAPD and manages the rail intermodal Riyadh Dry Port Ecosystem, which includes the Riyadh Dry Port, Riyadh Empty Yard, and Dammam Empty Container Yard. Additionally, SGP is actively involved in developing the Dammam Integrated Logistics Zone. In 2024, SGP handled over four million TEUs across its seaports and inland terminals, solidifying its position as a leading player in the industry. In response to these deals, SGP plans to invest over US $187mn in the upgradation of these terminals and the purchase of new equipment, said a statement.

Abdullah Al Zamil, Chairman of the Board, and Vice Chairman Bakr AlMuhanna added, “SGP, as one of the national champions for ports and logistics in Saudi Arabia, is proud to be entrusted with this opportunity to nurture and grow the four multipurpose terminals along the Eastern Coast of Saudi Arabia. We will strive to provide the same reliability, integration and spirit of innovation at the multipurpose terminals as we have done so for the container terminals at KAPD, the Riyadh Dry Port Ecosystem and DILZ. We are grateful to Mawani for entrusting SGP with these concessions. The agreement between SGP and Mawani was pivotal in driving economic diversification under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. By integrating and modernising key terminals, SGP, together with its technical partner, PSA International, brings their expertise to enhance supply chain efficiency, support critical mega projects, and strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub.”

The concession agreements were signed by Saudi Global Ports Group CEO Rob Harrison and the Acting President of Mawani Mazen bin Ahmed Al Turki, in the presence of Minister of Transport and Logistics Services Saleh Al Jasser, the Chairman of Board of Saudi Global Ports Eng. Abdullah Al Zamil and Vice Chairman Bakr AlMuhanna.

“SGP is committed to fostering innovation, sustainability, and local talent development to unlock long-term value in developing a transformative ports and logistics sector and in building a resilient, future-ready economy,” said Regional CEO Europe & Mediterranean and Middle East South Asia, PSA International, Vincent Ng. “We are proud to be alongside Saudi Arabia’s growth journey for over 10 years. We are excited to continue to work alongside PIF, Mawani and other stakeholders in the Kingdom, supporting SGP with our global expertise and network as it expands its ecosystem to include capabilities that can bring new and differentiated value to the Kingdom’s ports and logistics sector,” he added.

SGP with the support of its technical partner PSA International will continue its commitment to the professional development of its workforce in Saudi Arabia. They will tailor training programs for the existing and new workforce at all the terminals.

Saudi General Petroleum aims to integrate its four multipurpose terminals with its existing operations across Dammam and Riyadh. This integration will transform the terminals into more efficient and resilient gateways, supporting the robust growth in the Kingdom. These gateways will be crucial for the ongoing and upcoming mega projects in the country. The training program aims to equip participants with best practices in safety, operations, and sustainability, drawing from PSA International’s successful experiences in developing multipurpose terminals globally.

SSH has announced its appointment as the Lead Design Consultant for the new Radisson RED branded hotel on Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), United Arab Emirates.

The 269-room lifestyle hotel will mark a significant milestone for the Radisson RED brand in the region, and will introduce a new hospitality experience to one of the UAE’s growing tourist destinations. Stirling Hospitality Advisors, a boutique advisory firm, are acting as owner representatives on behalf of BB Holding. They are managing the collaboration between stakeholders and overseeing the successful delivery of the hotel, said the statement.

“The project represents an exciting evolution of the Radisson RED brand in the region, and SSH is thrilled to bring our design expertise to a destination with such potential. The hotel’s creative brief allows us to explore bold, innovative design solutions that deliver a guest experience aligned with the future of hospitality,” said Michael Byron, Managing Director at SSH, UAE.

This venture will set a new benchmark for design and guest experiences in Ras Al Khaimah, and we are proud to be part of bringing this vision to life,” added Tatiana Veller, Managing Director of Stirling Hospitality Advisors.

Located on Marjan Island, the hotel will be situated within a district that blends retail, dining, and leisure experiences, and will boast a mall and a signature water fountain. The Radisson RED brand will undergo a refreshing transformation in this region, evolving its signature loft-industrial aesthetic into a softer, resort inspired style. Both the architecture and interiors will embrace natural materials and muted tones, fostering a warm and contemporary ambiance with the relaxed coastal vibe of Marjan Island, the statement added.

Targeted at Millennial and Gen Z travelers seeking a unique, design-centric experience, this lifestyle hotel marks the inaugural franchised Radisson RED property in the UAE to feature the updated RED concept. Just a stone’s throw away from the shoreline, guests will enjoy exclusive private beach access. The hotel promises a fresh and vibrant hospitality experience, featuring contemporary guest rooms and suites designed with modern elements and amenities, all while staying true to the Radisson RED brand’s design-driven ethos, it continued.

Saeed-Ghumran-Al-Remeithi-Group-CEO-EMSTEEL-1.jpg

June 25, 2025 foasummit0

EMSTEEL said it has received a provisional ESG rating of ‘AA’ from MSCI, said to be one of the highest among steel players globally. This recognition underscores EMSTEEL’s performance in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues, making it one of the few global steel and building materials manufacturers that excel in this regard, the firm said.

MSCI’s evaluation reinforces EMSTEEL’s position as the industry player in managing key ESG risks and opportunities. The evaluation particularly highlights the group’s innovative responsible practices in managing its environmental impact, which have led to significant reductions in carbon emissions. Additionally, EMSTEEL’s well-being, health, and safety practices for its workforce have been enhanced, with almost all categories surpassing the global average, said a statement.

MSCI ESG Ratings evaluates over 9,000 companies worldwide, assessing their exposure to industry-related material ESG risks and their management compared to their peers. The ratings range from leader (AAA, AA) to laggard (B, CCC), with the average rating being A, BBB, or BB. The score is said to reaffirm MSCI’s global leadership in ESG ratings.

Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, Group CEO of EMSTEEL said, “Our inaugural ‘AA’ ESG rating by MSCI is a powerful testament to EMSTEEL’s commitment to sustainable industrial leadership. It reflects the strength of our governance, the resilience of our people, and our deep-rooted responsibility to the environment and communities we serve. As we align with the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 vision, this recognition strengthens our resolve to lead by example, delivering lasting value to our shareholders, society, and future generations.”

The rating is a significant milestone and follows the announcement of EMSTEEL’s Green Finance Framework in May 2025. The development of this framework was supported by key partners, including ING as the lead sustainability structuring bank and First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) as the sustainability structuring bank. ING also served as the ESG Rating Advisor for the MSCI ESG rating. The framework is said to be a cornerstone of EMSTEEL’s broader ESG strategy.

EMSTEEL’s decarbonisation strategy is said to be driving industrial sustainability. The group aims to reduce emissions by 40% in its Steel Business Unit and 30% in its Cement Business Unit by 2030, using 2019 as the baseline year. This commitment is unwavering, and EMSTEEL is firmly committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050. Key initiatives include enhancing energy efficiency, integrating renewable energy, and advancing green hydrogen innovation. These initiatives are all in alignment with the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 agenda, the firm said.

In 2023, EMSTEEL reported total Scope 1 and 2 emissions of 4.5m tonnes of CO₂, representing a 23% reduction from the 2019 baseline. This achievement earned the group global recognition for its sustainability leadership. EMSTEEL’s efforts in decarbonising steel production were recognised by the World Steel Association, which named them the 2024 Steel Sustainability Champion. The World Economic Forum also recognised EMSTEEL’s contributions to decarbonising the iron and steel industry, placing them among the top five steel companies worldwide that have received this recognition. In September 2024, EMSTEEL was appointed as Co-Chair of the Alliance for Industry Decarbonization (AFID), led by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the statement concluded.

Bvlgari-Eagle-Hills-1.jpg

June 25, 2025 foasummit0

Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts has entered into a long-term agreement with Eagle Hills, which will see the development of a new resort and private mansions project in Abu Dhabi, set to open in 2030.

Bvlgari Resort & Mansions Abu Dhabi will be a beachfront development that aims to redefine the urban landscape. The resort will be nestled on a horseshoe-shaped private island. Visitors will be greeted by views of the open sea, sunset on one side, Qasr Al Watan and the city skyline on the other, said a statement.

The resort will feature 60 designed rooms and suites, each offering views of the sea, city, or tranquil coves. Additionally, there will be 30 villas, each with its own unique characteristics and spectacular views. The project will also include 90 mansions of different sizes and features. These mansions will be paired with curated landscaping that blend Italian elegance with Arabian heritage. The project will be compliant with the best sustainability practices and will be curated by the Milanese architectural firm ACPV Architects, led by Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel. The development will extend Abu Dhabi’s corniche and will be accessible via a purpose-built bridge or by sea. As a seaside project, it will feature marine activities and water sports, allowing its patrons to explore some of the region’s most pristine beaches and islands, the statement added.

Abu Dhabi’s cultural heritage will inspire the resort’s architecture, which will symbolise the emergence of glass and gold from the sand. The interplay of materials and forms will reflect the emirate’s identity, characterised by craftsmanship and luxury.

The landscape design will be entrusted to the Milanese firm Land SRL, which plans to create a visionary landscape crafted with precision, inspired by culture, and immersed in nature. Spanning across the private island, the design will be a living canvas where dunes, gardens, and crafted forms converge in harmony. Each element will be shaped to reflect the essence of luxury, transitioning from the sculptural to the organic, from varied geometries to soft natural forms. This transition will echo both Italian artistry and Arabian tradition.

Eagle Hills will own the estate and be the project’s partner. The resort will feature a main building with 60 guest rooms on various floor levels, including two Bvlgari Suites and a Bvlgari Penthouse. There will be 30 distinct beach-side villas, each with a private pool. The resort will be a living experience that combines elegance with identity, and every detail reflects a commitment to beauty, meaning, and a sense of place, the statement said.

The five-bedroom, 1,200sqm Bvlgari Villa, nestled within its own private park that leads to its private beach with a 20m pool will serve as the centrepiece of the new era of global luxury hospitality. This destination will offer an extensive range of luxury facilities for wellness, recreation, entertainment, and dining, ensuring a rich lifestyle experience for all discerning guests.
